Rental Dwellings Insurance

Coverage for 1–4 Family Landlord Properties

Landlord policies can be tricky — especially when there are multiple properties, claims history, or rental tenants involved. We help independent agents place rental dwelling risks that don’t meet admitted carrier requirements.

Our surplus lines programs cover everything from single-unit rentals to small portfolios, including DP-1 and DP-3 coverage forms.

What We Write

  • Tenant-occupied 1–4 family homes

  • Dwellings in the name of LLCs, trusts, or business entities

  • Portfolios of rental properties

  • Properties with limited or no updates

  • Buildings with prior losses or insurance lapses

  • Rural or lower-value homes

  • Risks non-renewed or declined by standard markets

FAQs

  • Can you write more than one rental property at a time?

Yes. We can quote multiple properties on a single policy or schedule, depending on carrier guidelines and location mix.

  • Can you write properties in LLC or trust names?

Yes. We regularly place coverage for properties titled to business entities or investor groups.

  • Can you write homes that are between tenants or temporarily vacant?

Yes — just let us know how long the home will be vacant. Some markets allow short vacancy periods, while others require a vacancy endorsement.
